Ledgewood Pool Signup Information



Starting on June 26th, Ledgewood residents will begin to have access to the Ledgewood pool. In compliance with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, CDC, and State of Ohio guidelines, numerous changes have been implemented to the pool’s operations to comply with COVID-19 restrictions to public facilities. 

For the pool to open this summer (and remain open throughout the season), every resident and staff member must comply with the following rules. 

 As of 6/22/2020, Phase One of opening the Ledgewood Pool will entail the following:

Stay Healthy Guidance 
Do not use the pool
 • If you have symptoms of COVID-19, 
 • Have tested positive for COVID-19, or 
 • Were exposed to COVID-19 positive person within the last 14 days.
 • There is widespread ongoing transmission worldwide. If you have traveled internationally in the last 14 days, stay home and monitor your health.


Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. If you do develop symptoms of Covid-19, test positive, or come in contact with someone that tests positive, you must notify the association for contact tracing protocols. 

General Operations
Pool Hours:  The pool hours will be the same as previous years.
Sunday – Noon-8pm  
Monday – Closed for Deep Cleaning  
Tuesday – Noon-8pm 
Wednesday– Noon-8pm 
Thursday– Closed for Deep Cleaning 
Friday – Noon-8pm o Saturday – Noon-8pm 

Kids under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Residents are required to social distance from others by standing at least 6 feet away from other households at all times. 

1. Face masks are required for entry and indoors (during check-in, in the lobby and hallway, inside restrooms). Masks can be removed once outside on the pool deck.
2. Modified Pool Capacity - Based on guidelines from the Cuyahoga County Department of Health, the pool’s occupancy limit will be decreased to the following: 
-10 households for 25m lane reservation (1 household per 25m lane) 

-2 households per 50m lap lane 


-12 households for laying out (no lane reserved).
Pool’s new capacity is not to exceed 60 people and/or 24 households at a time, whichever number is reached first
3. Guests - No guests will be allowed to access the pool for phase one. Nannies and/or caretakers do not count as guests. Grandchildren residing outside of Ledgewood, however, are considered guests and will not be allowed in during Phase One. 

 Reservations

Please note that you can not call  the clubhouse via phone to reserve the pool until it is open. Please use the signup link on our website.  Reservations Via phone can only be taken during hours the pool is open.

Residents will be able to make reservations  in 2-hour increments in the following areas:

1. 50m lap swimming 
2. 25m lane per household 
3. Baby pool (available for one household at a time) 
4. Sunbathing with no access to pool. 

-Lap swimmers: if not from the same household, lap swimmers will be limited to two people per lane. 

-Residents are not be allowed to swim in lanes reserved by other households. 

Check-in Procedure 
-Reservations are required to enter the pool. 

Everyone must wear a mask indoors (during check-in, in the lobby and hallway, inside restrooms). Masks can be removed once outside on the pool deck.  

- Residents will stand on the tape markings (6 feet apart) while waiting to check-in. 

-There will be a non-contact forehead temperature scanner at check-in. Those with a temperature above 100.4 F will not be permitted inside

- Residents will confirm their reservation and will be assigned a lane (if applicable). 

- Everyone must follow one-way tape arrows on the ground when using the facility and bathrooms. 

Amenity/Facility Modifications

- Diving board will be closed for the season. 

- Showers will be closed for the season. 

- Drinking fountain will be closed. Please bring your own supply of drinking water or beverage. 

- There will be no “Lost and Found” bin. For safety, staff will dispose of any items left at the pool. 

- Tables and lounge chairs will not be provided. Please bring your own chair or lay on personal towels. 

- Noodles and kickboards will not be provided. Please bring your own. 
- Large rafts are not permitted, and there will be no Rubber Ducky Day. 

-The Clubhouse is closed until further notice. Residents will not have access to this space. 
 
 We realize that modifications to to the pool are going to be very different from usual.
Residents who choose to use the pool will sign an agreement that they understand and will follow the policy and procedure.The safety of residents and pool staff is a top priority.Again, the rules listed above are considered Phase One of reopening, and protocol is subject to change throughout the summer. 

 NOTE: The Ledgewood Association assumes no liability relative to COVID-19 and each person by entering the gated area acknowledges the risks of contracting any virus is always possible and cannot be completely eliminated. 

 FOR RESIDENTS 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, THE RESIDENT MUST COMPLETE THE INFORMATION AND SIGN BELOW: 
Each Resident acknowledges that they have read and understand the Ledgewood Pool COVID-19 Rules, and agrees to follow and comply with the Rules at all times. 

By execution of this Acknowledgment, each Resident knowingly and voluntarily agrees to all the rules, requirements, and conditions stated in the above 3 pages.

 FOR RESIDENTS 17 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER, THE MINOR AND MINOR’S GUARDIAN MUST COMPLETE THE INFORMATION AND SIGN BELOW: 
The undersigned Guardian (“Guardian”) is a parent or legal guardian of the named Minor with full power to execute this Acknowledgment on behalf of the Minor and all other Guardians of the Minor. As a condition of each Minor’s use of the Ledgewood Pool, Guardian acknowledges that Minor has read and understands the Ledgewood Pool COVID-19 Rules and agrees to follow and comply with the Rules at all times. By execution of this Acknowledgment, each Guardian, for and on behalf of Minor, and each Minor knowingly and voluntarily agrees to all the rules, requirements, and conditions stated in the above 3 pages.
