Additional Pool Rules During Covid Pandemic

Ledgewood residents,

Thank you for a truly great pool opening! We know this season has been very different from what we are used to, and we want to take a moment to thank you all for your patience as we navigate these uncertain times together.

As confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Cuyahoga County, we assure you that the safety of residents and staff is our top priority.
As such, please remember the following safety precautions are mandatory while at the Ledgewood Pool:

   * Masks are required to both enter and exit the facility through the

   * Masks are required to use the bathrooms.

   * One-way arrows in the bathrooms must be followed.

   * A minimum of 6-feet of distance must be maintained between separate households at all times, including while inside the pool and on the pool

   * Reservations are required to access the pool. Please only reserve 1 two-hour timeslot per day. If additional timeslots are available, you may ask the front desk to extend your reservation while at the pool.

Additionally, starting this weekend, HOUSEHOLDS WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO SHARE TOYS WITH OTHER HOUSEHOLDS. This includes balls, diving toys, noodles, etc. While we understand that kids want to play with other neighborhood kids at the pool, we cannot allow toys to be shared between households while in the middle of a pandemic. Obviously, children can play how they please at home or at a friend's house, but they will be required to remain 6-feet apart from one another and cannot share toys while at the pool.

Finally, if you have a child under 12 years old, it is your responsibility to keep watch over your child while at the pool, meaning that you must be able to physically see your child at all times. Staff members are required to keep residents safe by lifeguarding the pool and enforcing social distancing, but it is ultimately the parent's job to keep watch over their child.

These rules are firm, and repeated failure to follow them will result in a written warning. If a household receives 3 written warnings, they will be suspended from the pool for one week. Following the suspension, a household can receive one final warning before being suspended for the season. Please see the below link for more information on rules that will result in written warnings. For a full list of Ledgewood Pool rules, visit

Ledgewood is one of very few pools to have opened this summer in Strongsville, and we are only able to remain so by following strict guidelines from the State of Ohio and the CDC. It is not our goal to be fun-suckers, but right now our top priority is keeping residents and staff safe. Ledgewood Pool's ability to stay open is dependent on everyone's compliance with our COVID-19 Protocol. We want nothing less than to keep this great space open for the whole community to enjoy, but we can only do that with your help.

Many thanks,
Lindsey Schneider
